Senior .Net Developer

This exciting opportunity will see the successful incumbent responsible for leading a dynamic and collaborative team to deliver high quality, innovative software solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Gathering detailed requirements
- Mentoring developers
- Facilitating code review
- Planning and co-ordinating software projects
- Facilitating scrum meetings
- Analysing requirements
- Collaboratively producing creative and innovative solutions
- Task estimation
- Writing concise, readable and maintainable software code
- Ensuring a culture of re-use is maintained within the team
- Developing and enforcing coding standards
- Diagnosing and resolving system problems
- Writing unit tests
- Performing acceptance tests
- Performing load tests and optimising code
- Performing code reviews
- Documenting systems design, architecture, release notes and configuration guides
- Communicating project progress and difficulties
- Presenting systems operation changes and architecture to project stakeholders
- Providing creative solutions to difficult problems
- Applying leading technology and evolving team development standards and processes
Key requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- VB/C# .Net v3.5 application development with Visual Studio 2008+
- ASP.Net web development including CSS, HTML and Javascript
- Windows Forms application development
- Good understanding of agile methodologies
- Proven experience of release management
- Software design skills including OO and common design patterns
- Strong database schema and SQL query design skills
- Good understanding of Service Oriented Architecture
- Web services development and API documentation skills
- Proven experience in load testing and performance optimisation using application and database performance diagnostics
- Microsoft Ajax, Communication Foundation, Workflow Foundation or Presentation Foundation experience desirable
